Forgotten Marble Hornets Facts

A blog for all of the little facts and details in MH that we tend to forget or miss.

Quick update: all character tags (except for Sarah’s, of course, but I don’t think there are even any facts tagged with her name yet) have now been updated with the characters’ canon last names, because we have those now! :D

Forgotten MH Fact #154:

While Alex is punching Tim in Entry 86, they both are briefly transported to a room in the abandoned hospital, and the Operator is visible behind Alex. Immediately after this, they are back in the shack where they previously were, before being teleported back to the hospital a few seconds later.

Forgotten MH Fact #153:

(OOG) According to the series creators, the infamous “Skully” mask from Entry 26 was originally intended to be a hint towards Jay having an alternate “masked” personality similar to Masky and Hoody. This idea was eventually scrapped; however, this apparently doesn’t necessarily mean that the character in the mask isn’t still out there somewhere.

Forgotten MH Fact #152:

During one of the shots in Entry 83 of Tim’s room at the abandoned hospital, brief flashes can be seen of a non-burned room. The layout and position of the room, as well as the fire overlaid on the image, suggest that this may be a glimpse of the room from before the hospital burned, or it may be a different room entirely.

TTA’s “observation” is the only video on the totheark channel that isn’t capitalized.

Forgotten MH Fact #150:

During Entry 72, Jay starts to put the drawings from Alex’s old house into the side pocket of Tim’s bag, but Tim quickly directs him to the top pocket instead. Near the beginning of Entry 87, Tim pulls the Masky mask from the side pocket, indicating that it may have been there for quite some time.

Forgotten MH Fact #149:

(OOG) In TTA’s Warning, the role of Masky was actually played by Troy (Jay) instead of Tim.

Forgotten MH Fact #148:

Not counting Introduction, Entry 26 is the only entry in which fades are used at several points in the video instead of cuts.

"The one fact about Entry #5 having a different, undistorted, version on the Season 1 DVD, how do you find it? It is it a Easter Egg because I can not find it anywhere on my copy."

It’s on the second disc, under Deleted Scenes.

"Brian/hoody is left handed. Evidence is that when he was going to shoot Alex, he used his left hand. Which would have been unbearably uncomfortable"

Actually, he seems to be right handed. He uses his right arm any time he swings a weapon (pipe, wrench, etc.), and when he punches Tim in Entry 83:

It seems likely that the only reason he held the gun in his left hand in Entry 67 was probably that he had the camera in his right hand, similar to Jay carrying the knife in his left hand in Entry 77.

(Also, Brian uses his right hand to write his name on the notepad in Entry 84.)
